Christian era historical evidence points to many sources of mixing from other ethnic groups so that one wonders if there are any 100% Jews remaining.
Was Jesus a Jew? No, Jesus was not a Jew (at least not a pure Jew) despite being called the King of the Jews.
Is the Jewish Race intended to receive the promises of God. Is there even such a thing as a race of people who are ethnically pure Jews?
The rejection of Israel only happened when God had exhausted every possibility of reaching them. He even sent his only-begotten Son and they even rejected Him.
The plan of God for Israel was that they would respond to His last attempt – sending His only-begotten Son to reach them. If they rejected that, He would reject them.
Daniel’s prophecies included a period of 490 years also known as the 70 weeks of Daniel. This was to be time of probation for the children of Israel.
After the Babylonian captivity described in Daniel’s Prophecies another limited period of probation was granted to achieve specific results.
The 12 tribes of Israel were the actual children of Israel (Jacob) but did they live up to the title of Israel?
The origin of the Jews does not begin with Abraham. When did the Jews become Jews?
The question was Abraham a Jew is easily resolved by examining verses about Abraham in the Bible and seeing where it says he came from and when the Jews originated.
The seed of Abraham in the Old Testament is considered the source of literal Israel but what is the source of spiritual Israel? Is there a significant difference?
The name Israel, originally used in a special way for one man, was meant to apply, in the same way, for a whole nation.
As Jacob Wrestles With God, he is again asked the question
Jacob and Esau made peace with each other after Jacob’s experience and after Jacob became an overcomer.
The deceiver, Jacob, showed this trait in his life. Do we all have some of this character trait?
A supplanter is one who takes or attempts to take the rightful place of another. Jacob was a supplanter but one who eventually was willing to entirely submit to God’s will.
The ‘heel grabber’ described Jacob’s actions at birth but also his character traits and the character traits of another prominent figure.
The meaning of Jacob, the name, tells us what he was like and makes the later change in his character and the meaning of Israel all the more dramatic.
Abraham and Isaac. Genesis 16. Their names and the names of all involved reflect the character and actions.
Abraham and Sarah (Abram and Sarai) and their wait for the promised son. At first it looked like it would be Abraham and Ishmael.
: The meaning of Israel is a big question in many people’s minds – or at least it should be. Many people (eg. Hal Lindsey) are looking in the wrong place to see God’s purpose for Israel fulfilled.
The question of what is dispensationalism is best answered by going right back to Abraham’s time and investigating the question from a Biblical perspective.
